A few years ago I published an experimental work that I was done in tribute to Diego Maradona with a video of Victor Hugo Morales’ great narration. Recalling that post, I found two videos on Youtube of that goal made with the technique of stop motion. One made with dolls and other with dough. Amazing!
That is the title of the short animation of Federico Álvarez, a young director and animator from Uruguay. A few days later than he posted his video on Youtube, received a lot of offers to go to work in Hollywood. Finally, he got a contract with a budget for over 30 millions dollars to film a movie. Another example of that with talent and capability everything is possible. Google it to find more information.
This is the commercial that Sancor launched on the air for his campaign for the product Bebé 3 (Baby 3). The child’s universe composed of costumes, doodles, 3d objects and much more, combined in this piece through motion graphics and film with a catchy musical composition, makes this an extremely fun commercial.
Ñ magazine published an article (spanish only) about the logo designed by Sebastián Guerrini for the participation of Argentina as guest of honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2010. On the official website you can view the logo animation that was introduced in Germany, whose was commissioned to me.
Continuing with electro pop as theme, today I introduce to you a french singer called Yelle. Her success came thanks to Myspace and her first hit «Je veux te voir» is a statement of principles against the sexist lyrics of some of the most famous rap groups in France, particularly against the TTC and its leader, Cuizine. The video of the song invades our eyes with an explosion of colours that can be harmful for someone.
Motion graphics + 3d + colours + film + electro pop = this incredible video from british band La Roux. If you had doubts about how your haircut has to look to go dancing, already you have the solution.
Hip hop and rap are not exactly within my favorite genres, but this Kanye West’s video from last year is amazing. Directed by himself and animated by Takashi Murakami. I have to admit: the guy knows what he does.
From the beginning, Vimeo was created by filmmakers and video creators who wanted to share their creative work. As time went on, people with similar interests went adding and growing the community. The visualquimia’s animations and videos will become part of vimeo.
This video directed by the French motion graphics studio H5, like the work done by the studio MK12 for the film «Stranger Than Fiction» is an excellent example of that is possible to make animated infographics. 4:15 minutes full of enjoyment.
Clarín.com, one of the biggest newspaper in Argentina, published an article (on its homepage!) about the campaign developed by Correa and Guerrini describing some pieces of my work. Also, they published an animation that I’ve done with Javier Jauregui and Sergio Iribarne.
Another great video of the french duo Justice with a retro aesthetic back to the 80’s and that reminds me of the intro movies that we enjoy in our homes video cassette player.
If it is about good videos… let’s go dance with the frenchies Justice!. It’s amazing their new video made of a combination of motion grapchis + film. The t-shirts design was realized by SoMe. Those who are interested look for the «unfinished» version with an end which seems (particularly for me) more original. Do the dance!.
On September 21st and 22nd will be held the First International Congress of Design and Technology in the city of La Plata (Argentina). Organized by the Technology on Visual Communication Design cathedra from the Fine Arts Faculty (La Plata National University), as a member of staff I am in charge of carrying out the animations.
Not just to deliver condoms we went to TrimarchiDG. Flavio Mammini was invited as a speaker and he talked about «Discs packaging with body and soul», and together with Francisco Alejandro Braga Boccaccio I was pleased to make the multimedia and video presentation for his conference.
